Stream Adds $35M Data Center in Richardson – Demand for Data Center Space Grew by 13% Last Year

“A branch of Stream Realty Partners LP has started construction on a high-powered, $35 million data center in Richardson that will target corporate users looking for robust, secure space for their servers and other equipment.

The 20,000-square-foot Stream Private Data Center, being built at 3300 Essex Drive, which is northeast of Renner and Shiloh roads east of the President George Bush Turnpike, is scheduled to be available for occupancy by August. (cont’d)”

“Stream Realty has completed its “built to fit”, powered base building datacenter shell in Westover Hills in San Antonio, Texas, adjacent to Microsoft’s facility. The facility (we won’t call it a datacenter just yet) offers 150,000 square feet of space (expandable to 350,000 square feet) with a minimum of 200-foot setbacks on the property, dual 10MW power feeds from separate 200MW substations and the ability to expand the utility feeds to 30MW each through conduits that are already in place to support this expansion.
