Stream Private Data Center - San Antonio
Stream chose San Antonio for the site of a Private Data Center development because San Antonio has become one of the top emerging enterprise data center markets in the country. San Antonio enjoys a central U.S. location, a new and reliable power and fiber infrastructure, virtually no risk of natural disasters, an international airport, a pro-business environment and an extremely competitive price for electric power from CPS Energy, the nation's largest municipally owned gas and electric utility company.
Stream chose a site adjacent to Microsoft's recently completed 470,000 square foot data center in Westover Hills Business Park and adjacent to a brand new 300 megawatt substation. Westover Hills is the premier master-planned business park in San Antonio and boasts high security and a robust fiber and power infrastructure. Many of the country's largest companies have major office and data center facilities in Westover Hills including Microsoft, Lowe's Corporation, JPMorgan Chase & Co., The Hartford, The Capital Group Companies, Valero Energy Corporation, Frost Bank, and CHRISTUS Health.
The Stream Private Data Center development in San Antonio is a single story, purpose-built 50,000 square foot structurally enhanced data center building designed to withstand 146 mph winds and uplift. The data center will contain 2-10,000 square foot independent raised floor halls. The data center will be built out with a 2N electrical and N+1 mechanical configuration. Each data center hall will deliver 1,125 KW of critical load power. The building is pre-engineered with conduits and pads in place to expand the power and cooling infrastructure to deliver 2,250 KW of critical load power to each hall. The data center will be fully commissioned upon delivery. This operational data center will allow companies to immediately deploy critical data center operations, with the long term ability to expand power density and cooling. The building can be demised into two independent halls, or controlled by a single tenant.
The San Antonio Private Data Center will have dual feed power from two utility substations, and be served by multiple fiber providers via diverse, private fiber vaults serving two redundant telecommunication rooms in each data center hall.
