Where There’s a Wil-mer, There’s A Way: Celebrating Earth Day the Stream Way in Texas

The Stream team recently showed up in force for an Earth Day volunteer event near its new DFW-C campus in Wilmer, Texas, putting in hands-on effort alongside the City and other local partners.

As Stream continues to grow its presence in Wilmer through both new development and its existing hyperscale campus, we remain committed to investing in more than critical digital infrastructure, but also in a community we are proud to be part of. Our South Dallas County campus laid the groundwork for long-term growth in the area, and Earth Day is always a great opportunity to build on that foundation in a meaningful way.

Pitching In and Picking Up

Stream team members joined the city’s Annual Park & Creek Litter Pick Up, rolling up their sleeves to clean areas along the highway, near a local elementary school, and throughout surrounding neighborhoods.

Thanks to a strong turnout and shared purpose, the team collected and removed more than a full truckload of garbage, making a visible and positive impact on the community — not to mention, some good old-fashioned team-building and relationship-strengthening time.

The event drew participation from employees across the organization, including team members who traveled in from out of state, as well as friends and family who joined to support the cause. Stream was also proud to volunteer alongside Bowman, its civil engineering partner at DFWC, who brought nine team members to work with us, as they always do, but this time on a different mission. All in all, the Stream Team and its related crew offered nearly 30 people (that’s 60 hands) to support the effort.

Wilmer city officials, including Mayor Sheila Petta, also pitched in, ensuring a safe and well-organized event. They provided traffic control, safety gear, cold water, and a meal for volunteers, creating a welcoming environment for everyone involved and a memorable day to boot.

Investing in Our Community

Beyond the impressive cleanup results, the day served as a reminder of the impact of simply showing up. As Stream continues to grow in North Texas, opportunities like this allow us to strengthen local relationships, support the communities in which we operate, and contribute in ways beyond our core business.

We at Stream are proud to be an active, invested member of the Wilmer community and in all the communities where our teams build, live and work.
