Chicago I
As Stream Data Centers’ first facility in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, Chicago I is a perfect example of our strategy of proactively building data centers in locations where total cost of ownership can be optimized, risk is low, network connectivity is robust, and sustainability is easily achievable. Chicago I checked all those boxes – including sales tax exemptions, readily available robust fiber optic connectivity and the most reliable power in the country.
Stream acquired the property in December of 2017. After successful reconstruction, the facility was fully leased to a major cloud customer at the end of 2020.
