Data Hall
A Data Hall is a secure, fully walled space within a data center that contains server cabinets of various sizes. In addition to overhead trusses and supportive ceiling grids, a data hall is typically characterized by a raised “white-floor” which allows for dynamic air flow and under-floor cooling infrastructure.
Data halls are secure areas housed inside data centers. Unlike IT cages, which serve a similar function, data halls offer the added benefit of privacy since they’re designed and built as fully walled rooms within the greater data center space. Data center customers that place a premium on confidentiality may choose to lease a dedicated data hall.
