Meet-Me Room
A Meet-Me Room (MMR) is a dedicated space within a colocation data center in which telecommunications carriers can physically connect to each other and exchange data without incurring added fees. Cross-connection services in an MMR may include voice circuits, data circuits or internet protocol (IP) traffic.
A meet-me room (MMR), also known as an external network interface (ENI) or main distribution area (MDA), is a secure space where data center clients may interconnect or cross-connect to one or more carriers without incurring “local loop fees.” This enables users to handle high volumes of data traffic at a low cost.
