Powered Shell
A Powered Shell is defined as a newly constructed building or a highly specialized retrofit designed specifically for use as a data center. Stream’s Ready-to-Fit™ Data Center is an example of a powered shell solution.
Powered shell facilities typically connected to two separate electrical substations to provide redundant, readily available power. They are also constructed with security and connectivity in mind. The powered shell strategy takes a phased approach to development, providing customers with the flexibility to rapidly deploy and gradually scale their data center solutions as needed.
