Just a few weeks ago, three members of our senior team attended PTC’20 in sunny Honolulu, Hawaii. Katie O’Hara, Vice President of Business Development, Chad Rodriguez, Vice President of Network and Cloud, and Chris Bair, Senior Vice President of Sales and Leasing, represented the entire Stream team throughout several days of back-to-back meetings. During the event, Chad and Chris were able to sit down with JSA TV to talk about where Stream is headed in 2020 and why they are excited to be a part of our growing presence in North America.
In case you haven’t yet heard it, we’re celebrating our twenty-year anniversary! Back in 1998, two of our founding partners, Rob Kennedy and Paul Moser, began purchasing second-generation data center assets from Stream Realty Partners, our parent company. In 1999, we formally became Stream Data Centers and haven’t looked back. From powered shells to hyperscale campuses we’ve been serving the wholesale market by accurately predicting market demand and deploying the right products and services at the right time, proactively and cost effectively.
As Chris notes in the video, we are in the exciting position of bringing in more capacity in the first half of 2020 than we ever did in the history of our company. With developments in Chicago, Dallas and Phoenix, our customer base, which is currently comprised of mostly Fortune 500 companies, will have all the space, power, cooling and network connectivity they need to stay competitive and grow through the next decade. That said, we also recognize that times have changed. As Chad notes, whereas companies used to be satisfied with just space and power, now they are increasingly adopting new applications from enterprise virtualization and multi-cloud strategies to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data. As a result, Stream is on a mission to enhance our creativity in addressing our customers’ unique needs.
