DALLAS, Oct. 24, 2025 — Stream Data Centers announces the release of its 2024 Sustainability Report, detailing the company’s commitment to effective sustainability management and continued progress in environmental performance, climate resilience, data transparency, stakeholder engagement and sustainable design.
This report serves as an update on key improvements to business programs, development processes and more, examining Stream’s sustainability progress across six priority areas: Sustainable building design; Greenhouse gas management; Health, safety and wellbeing; Talent attraction, diversity and development; Cybersecurity and physical security; Sustainability oversight and reporting.

Highlights from the report include:
- Site Selection: In 2024, Headwaters, Stream’s independent site selection and location strategy affiliate, enhanced its location feasibility assessment process, integrating additional sustainability and community-focused criteria.
- Design & Construction: By right-sizing systems and reducing overengineering, Stream effectively cut cooling load by 12% and mechanical lineups from eight to six without compromising reliability or resilience.
- Water & Cooling Optimization: While Stream has long delivered water-free cooling, the company now recognizes that a zero-water approach is not always the most sustainable. A more dynamic approach to air cooling supplemented with adiabatic pre-cooling allows for greater efficiencies across both standard long-term operations and extreme situations, while lowering capital and operating costs, reducing embodied carbon, improving efficiency and enhancing resiliency — all while keeping operational water use near zero.
- Safety, Workforce Development and Community Engagement: In 2024, Stream logged more than 1 million work hours with a lost time incident rate of zero and a total recordable incident rate of 0.19 — well below industry averages. Stream employees also contributed hundreds of volunteer hours to local nonprofits, educational programs, food banks and more, among other community-centric, market-specific initiatives performed alongside new and existing developments as part of Stream’s evolving community engagement program.
