Stream Data Centers, a national data center services provider, is installing new equipment for data hall No. 2 in Chaska, their Minnesota data center.
“The Phase II facility offers 1.2 megawatts of power providing additional control and flexibility to the Minneapolis market,” said Chris Kincaid, vice president of construction, Stream Data Centers. “We are continuing to demonstrate our commitment to build and operate highly redundant, mission critical facilities for our clients.”
The first phase of Stream’s Minnesota data center was leased in June 2014. The facility has two remaining private data center suites in the single-story, purpose-built, 75,675-square-foot, structurally enhanced data center building designed to withstand 185 mph winds and uplift. The building is pre-engineered and built with conduits and pads in place to expand the power and cooling infrastructure in each Private Data Center Suite to deliver 2,400 kilowatts of critical load power.
