From June 4-6, 2019, Monaco became THE gathering place for global leaders in the areas of cloud, edge, data centers and infrastructure. The 15th annual Datacloud Global Congress attracted people from all over the world to exchange ideas and plan deals with the potential to influence the face of our industry for years to come. The event is highly regarded for its high- quality content and the opportunity that it provides for investors, business leaders, developers and more to come together under the stunning background of Monte Carlo.
Our very own Katie O’Hara, VP of Business Development, represented us on one of the panels that took place during the event. She was joined by Angela Leavitt, Mojo Marketing; Amber Caramello, Zayo Group; Michelle Senecal de Fonseca; and Brooke Petosa, Cushman & Wakefield. Overall, the panelists engaged in an active and highly important discussion on the importance of providing opportunities for women in tech and telecom roles. Katie discussed what pathways currently exist for women, why it is critical to the business to include women in leadership roles, and why the gender gap currently exists.
“I was so proud to be representing Stream Data Centers this month in beautiful Monaco,” O’Hara commented. “Not only did I have the opportunity to represent Stream as we were being recognized amongst fellow industry leaders, but I had the great honor of sharing the stage with some amazing ladies and addressing a topic of utmost importance in our industry.”
In addition to the panel, O’Hara was present for the Datacloud Awards, which took place on Tuesday, June 5th at the Salles des Etoilles. Stream Data Centers stood in esteemed company being proudly short-listed for two separate awards on this global stage: Excellence in Regional Data Centers and Michael Lahoud, COO, for Young Digital Leader.
