With awards season well under way, Stream Data Centers travelled to International Telecoms Week (ITW) in the new location of Atlanta, Georgia last month. The new venue and latest year of ITW brought together a record number of attendees. More than 7,000 delegates from 2,000+ companies around the world took part in the event, providing ample opportunity for Stream to connect with customers, industry and prospects from June 23-26, 2019. Anthony Bolner, Executive Vice President & Partner, Rob Kennedy, Co-Managing Partner, and Katie O’Hara, Vice President of Business Development represented Stream at the event.
In addition to the many important meetings that were held onsite, Stream executives took part in many events and made important connections with key industry contacts/ media over the course of the week. One notable event was the Women’s Telecom Forum, which Katie O’Hara, VP Sales for Stream Data Centers, participated in.
The mission of the Women’s Tech Forum is to provide women in the global cloud infrastructure and networking community the opportunity to connect and learn from other women. The topic of the gender talent gap in the tech and telecom industries is gaining increased momentum recently, as is the issue of the challenge of attracting and keeping female leaders to the industry. O’Hara’s involvement in this event and others helps the important work that is being done to bring light to this topic across the industry.
Overall, ITW 2019 was a very successful event for Stream Data Centers. The team looks forward to continuing many of the important conversations that were initiated during the event, and of course to returning to ITW in Atlanta again in 2020.
